Happy 18 months!

K, today you've completed 18 months and you're sharing this big day with Daddy!

Together, we surprised Daddy this morning and celebrated his special day. I think it's really cool that you share your half birthday with him! :)

The day got even bigger as you filled Daddy's shoes today. Literally! :) We thoroughly enjoyed seeing you wear Daddy's shoes and then walk in them! :)

Looking at the past few months now...they have been super active and so much fun. You are getting smarter, trying out new things, speaking more words, even short sentences, jumping, doing more puzzles, trying out cart wheels (Yes, cart wheels and even summersaults!)

Together, we are in a whole another world now. Keeping up with you is getting challenging. You need to be watched all the time and have been giving me a good workout but you are a whole lot of fun!

You have been understanding and following instructions and directions. Now when asked,  you can trash things in the trash can and can also put your toys back where they belong! I think these are great new skills that you have learned!

School's going well. It is 90 minutes of weekly fun time with other kids in a class room environment. You recently attended your school's fall festival. A First! :)

Playing with the bubbles was the most fun for you and you enjoyed the moon bounce too; whatever time you were on it.

You went as yourself and came back as cute cat! :)

Who was ferocious at times and even found it's catch; a little mouse! :)

The kitty cat enjoyed the snacks and explored the grounds at the festival!

Your Saturdays are once again full of music and instruments with the Music Together's fall semester!

Back in September, Rohit Mamu visited us for a few days and it didn't take you any time to become pals again!

Courtesy Mamu, you visited the Google NY office and lounged in style in one of its lobbies! This was the highlight of the trip!

You now know all the fruit names from Monday through Friday from the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". You say the names of the fruits the caterpillar ate as I read you the story! :) You also have been saying parts of rhymes, words from other stories and some counting!

Puzzles continue to interest you and so do the books, be it the story books or catalogs of kids apparel!

It was such a surprise to see you attentively browse through a catalog the other day while your breakfast was getting ready. :)

Stories are part of our every day routine and you love listening to them. Runaway Bunny is a recent addition of your collection and you have been enjoying it! You ask for it to be read to you by saying "Bunny"!  :)

You love watching deer when they are in our yard; especially the "papa deer"; you say it the cutest!

Your favorite toy is Elmo and believe it or not, your first sentence was "Give me Elmo"! Sometimes you say it even at night when you wake up, so I put it next to you. You love Elmo and always give it a kiss!

Cars and trucks are another favorite!

Tita and you are the best of friends. She gets the best kisses from you. Whenever we say "I love" you finish the sentence by saying "Tita"!  She loves hearing it! :) You miss her over the weekends and enjoy your time with her when she is around during the week!

Happy Birthday, love! You are so much fun and we are thoroughly enjoying seeing you grow!

We adore you and are very proud of you! Keep up all good things and even the naughty ones. We love them all! :)

Love,
Mama

A new beginning!

K you've started pre-school! Yes ALREADY and we are so excited! :)

We enrolled you at the Village Green Day School in Great Falls which has a parent child program for your age group.

As part of this program, you have a class once a week (every Wednesday) for 90 mins and you are accompanied by me and your nanny Tita.

When the session started on Sept 19th, the class size was 7 and now it has gone up to 9 children in the age range of 17 months to 2 years+.

It's a very free flowing class taken by Mrs. Lori Fitzgerald, who lets all you children, just come and work on puzzles and slowly she transitions you all to the floor, so you all could play on the slide or in the play house.

You have the most fun doing it all!

You have circle time where everyone sings the "Hello" song and all the children's names are called. All you kids, dress up the weather bear! :)  Soon the hand puppets come out and we all sing rhymes!

Later you all get to play more and then get to clean up too! You have been a good helper while cleaning up. I am so proud!

Sometimes we do a craft together. Your class is called the "Ducklings", so your first craft was related to that! :)

Sometimes you kids get to spend time in the playground! For you this seems to be the best part as it brings tons of smiles! :)

You do get a snack break in-between and Mrs. Fitzgerald pairs it with the Story time. She introduces a new book each week. It's fun!

You have been very receptive to the program and are very comfortable with how it flows.

Soon you'll make friends! Little one, you are off to a great start and we couldn't be more happy and excited!

To more exciting beginnings, many more learnings and even more fun times!

Happy Pre-schooling, Sweetie!

We love you so much!

Fun at the park and shivers in the water!

This past summer for Kabir was full of endless FUN! He spent a lot of time outdoors....be it the zoo, the nearby parks or the water fountain.

Visits to the library weren't as exciting, especially when he knew the park was across the street! ;)

Entering the park just lit up Kabir's face and he was all smiles! :)

Slides were fun

and so was going round and round in the merry-go-round

and playing with the other equipment

but he was the HAPPIEST in the swing! :)

so much so that I had to capture the giggles! :)

Visit to the water fountain and playing in the water was another favorite!

To top it all, time spent with the grandparents was icing on the cake!

O Summers! How much we'll miss you thee!

Once a baby, now a toddler!

K, it's been a while since I posted about what you've been upto. This post comes rather late, but I am happy, I've found the time to put it together! There are a lot of exciting milestones to share! :)

Last few months have been nothing but fun. You are growing up to be such an interesting little boy...a total copy cat who is full of MISCHIEF, so much so, that I can see it in your eyes! Really! :)

You spent the most amazing time with the family.

We went to parks, water fountains, weekend outings and you enjoyed them all. Your favorite is playing in the water!

You love listening to stories. There are times when you pick the books yourself and hand them over, so we could read them to you.

You have the best time, when I read to you "The very hungry caterpillar". You roll laughing when I tickle your tummy, when the caterpillar gets a stomach ache. O, we have so much fun! :)

You've been talking...a LOT!! :) It's so great to hear you utter words. Your vocabulary is expanding rapidly, you can say apple, ight (light), cat, ball, dog, puppy, nose, teeth, hiding, alright, i know, bye-bye, no, ammi, nani, mommy, mama, daddy and MORE!

Of all the words that you can speak, "Daddy" is your most favorite and Daddy can't be happier! :)

Hiding! You love to hide; be it behind the legs, in the closet, in the pantry, or just under the island in the kitchen. And once you hide, you say "hiding" in your cutest voice. :) It's the best!

We love being silly! Spending time with you is so much fun!

Every Saturday morning, we've been going to the Music Together class! It's a 45 minute session full of music and play and you've been enjoying it a lot!

You now know where your nose, teeth and eyes are! When asked where they are you point to your nose and teeth and blink your eyes! It's super cute! :)

You are quite a dancer already! See how cute you look dancing! :)

We gifted you a rocking horse for your birthday, which hadn't  excited you till just recently, when you tried to climb it yourself and rock it. Earlier you would only pull its tail, eat it's ear and give it a kiss and a hug! :)

You give the best kisses and hugs. I can never have enough of them! :)

You are very active. You only nap once a day now and want to play the rest of the time.

You've been working on a shape puzzle these days and you are very good at it!

We now have Tita looking after you. She's wonderful! She spends a lot of time playing with you and making sure you are safe. She can juggle balls and balance your milk bottle on her head when she walks! You've been having a great time with her!

These days you are learning how to climb down the stairs and are starting to show your stubborn side...yup, already! :)

You've taken us by surprise by lifting some large and heavy pieces!

Sitting is no more your favorite thing. You now love to be free so you can run around.

O, and the most eventful story of these months! Back in June we were hit by a Derecho; a severe thunderstorm. Luckily, we survived it without any damage but a power outage for 3.5 days. I hear one comes across such a storm once in a lifetime, so I hope no more for us! Had you been a little bigger, you would have probably enjoyed the thrill from watching it!

You are an absolute darling, my love! We LOVE you all the time! Have the best time growing up, sweetie!

Love always!
Mama
