Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Happy Birthday, Daddy! You would have turned 70 today! I wish you were around to celebrate this big birthday. I miss you so very much!

I wish you were around to see Kabir; he's almost 2! You would have loved and pampered him so much and I know he would have loved you a lot too.

I miss you each day and even more today. I think of you when I cook white maa ki daal or chicken or fish. I think of you when the whole family is together. I think of you when I visit home. I think of you on Rakhi and Tikka and I think of you each time I call home and remember how you would ask me every time, when I was going to visit. I miss hearing your voice and I miss our time together.

I hope you are in peace and are looking over us.

Thank you for all your love, affection and care and for giving me uncountable happy memories to remember you by!

Love you always and miss you a zillion!

LOVE is all there is!

Happy Valentine's Day, K! Our Love day started by you wishing Happy Valentine's to Tita and myself! It was so cool and so impressive! :)

My jaw drops every time you say something new and complex! Keep it up little one!

The weather wasn't too bad today; at-least the sun was out, so after I finished work we went to the park for an hour and you made the most of that time!

You asked for keys when you went behind the wheel! :)

Even slid through the tunnel! A first and what fun! :)

At home waited a few new toys; a train track and a tool box!

Look at you, onto tightening the second screw! Someone's quite handy already! ;)

You bring in so much joy and love that everyday is LOVE day for us! Lots of blessings my love!

Olive you! ;)

Btw, Tita loved the card we made for her together and Dad's is waiting for when he returns on Saturday! :)

Happy 2013!

Sweetie, as we end 2012 today, I wanted to reflect on how this year went for you.

  • You turned 1!
  • You learned
    • walking, running, climbing and jumping
    • talking in sentences and can now converse very well
    • counting, alphabets, rhymes, shapes and colors
    • to tell your name!
    • saying "Thank you"
    • cleaning up
  • Started school
  • Took trips to NYC, Pennsylvania, Montreal and India
  • Spent time with family and got a LOT of pampering!
  • Fascination with Trains, bikes and cars started
  • You started screaming, so much so that sometimes my ears hurt and I wonder what your throat must feel!
It was a great year, full of many new and wonderful beginnings.

As we enter 2013 and beyond, I have several wishes for you. Here goes!

I wish
  • you grow strong and healthy
  • you always stay very inquistive
  • you continue to amaze us, just like you do today
  • you continue to play, experiment and learn
  • you stay loving, courteous and respectful to others
  • you always have great mentors and are surrounded by people who love you
  • you become truthful and can tell what's right vs. wrong
  • you get the best of education and never stop to learn
  • you have a million dreams and the ambition and the strength to make them come true
  • you always stay joyful and make everyone smile, just like you do today
  • you and I become the best of friends
I wish you all this and more! Have a wonderful time forward and I look forward to more exciting times with you!

Love you now and forever!

Merry Christmas!

K, it's your second Christmas today and this is how the day opened for you! There were a lot of presents under the tree and in the stocking, waiting to be unwrapped!

You opened them one by one!

There was a lot of excitement...books, toys...what next?!?

A PIANO! Yes, Santa decided to start you early! :)

Daddy assembled it and showed you a bit

and got a sweet kiss in return! :) So precious!

Seeing your excitement as each gift was unwrapped was a joy in itself! It was like you were in a toy store!

You've been enjoying all this gifts from Santa, who was so very generous that he even made a trip to Canada and brought presents from there!

The piano has been a hit!

You've been sitting down and playing it just like a pro! :)

Okay, may be that's just in the pictures. :) But this is so cool! Daddy and I are both very excited about the piano!

And there was still MORE...our friend Ashish who we had invited over for lunch came bearing a present for you too!

A Tonka truck! :)

You love your trucks and the tractor! You've been taking them with you all around the house!

You also like your Thomas & Friends trains especially the musical caboose. You've been pressing the button on it to play the music. It's catchy!

What a wonderful day, K! Full of smiles and cheer! Stay blessed, my love and keep smiling!

Merry Christmas! :)

We love you!

Halloween!

Halloween up-till now had been just another day for me but now with Kabir that's changing!

This year, we had pumpkins and K dressed up! :) I doubt I'll ever dress up for Halloween myself but I can see Kabir and Tarun enjoying it to the max in the years to come!

I made the most of K's time with the pumpkins outside by catching some moments on my camera!

My absolute favorite!

K, dressed up as Elmo, his favorite character and walked in his school parade!

There were cheers for Elmo as he walked the parade, followed by hugs! :)

Little Elmo enjoyed some trick or treating

and then some play time! :)

We love you our little Elmo! Excited to see what you'll be next year! :)

Baa Baa Black Sheep!

To my surprise, K's first rhyme, for which he knows the words is "Baa baa black sheep". This rhyme was introduced to him much later but he has really picked it well!

He's been telling it for over a week now but today was my lucky day to get it on recording...that too twice! :)

So far he knows the first stanza well but he's trying the second one too! :)

Here's K saying it in his sweet voice, first in part, after me and then in full; the first stanza that is! :)
